Recently my boyfriend and I received a Founders Level membership to the Blanton Museum from KOOP radio and tonight was our first opportunity to attend one of the events.  We attended the preview of the 'Recovering Beauty' exhibition showcasing Buenos Aires in 1990.  The outpouring of artistic hope after such' a stringent and oppressive regime is simply inspirational to witness.  I found myself continually drawn to the works of Miguel Harte.  Three dimensional works of whimsy with incredible depth.  Many of his pieces included little wasps or bees with human bodies and a fair amount of hand blown marbles and other spherical mysteries.  His works enticed one to approach them in order to perceive all that was hidden within their depths.  Very captivating and powerful work.
